“And (He made) horses and mules and asses that you
might ride upon them and as an ornament; and He creates what you do not know.”
Horses have been mentioned in the Holy Quran as well as many famous hadith. Furthermore, horse riding is a sunnah, which is good to do. Nurul Fikri Boarding School Lembang has many activities, beside formal (study, memorize Quran, etc.) activities there are some informal activities like home visit, hiking, swimming, horse riding, etc. Informal activity mostly done with the purpose of having fun. This time, the activity comes from santri tholib SMA kelas 11 accompanied by Ustadz Asep Dadan Tama, the student do the home visit activity to MUHAMMAD ROFI RAYHAN's house in Cianjur. One of the visiting agenda is horse riding. Below are some photos of the activity.
Horse riding is not only physical activity, but also spiritual activity, especially for Muslim. I believe spending time with horse is a form of worship. Actively appreciating Allah’s creation, looking at the form of a horse is the proof of God’s almighty. Is it possible that there could be a such a strong creature, that only eats grass, with a form so perfectly designed to fit a human body, so pleasing to the eye, and so readily responsive to our commands? If they wanted to, they could easily overpower a human; however, Allah (SWT) has given them a disposition that allows them to form a connection and be trained for all sorts of riding disciplines.
In fact, horse riding is good to do for Muslim. They can benefit us mentally and physically. We can enjoy the time by horse riding and at the moment we can also be grateful to Allah’s creation. Because there is no single activity for Muslim without remembering Allah (SWT).
